Nightingale Beauté et Esthétique (“we”) is a beauty studio at 433A Rue Magog, LaSalle, Quebec H8R 3B9. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

What we collect and why

Please do not include medical details in online notes unless they are needed for your treatment; you can always tell your esthetician in person. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Where it is stored and who sees it
Only Nightingale Beauté staff who need it, using personal logins, can see your information. Website information is stored on our web hosting server, which is located outside Quebec, and messages and bookings are also emailed to our mailbox. Before using these services we assessed that they protect information adequately. The service providers below act on our behalf and may only use your information to provide their service:
- Web hosting provider (servers outside Quebec): stores the website and its database.
- Datedechoix.com (Montréal): our previous online booking system, used until all bookings are on this website.
- VoIP.ms (Quebec): sends text reminders, only if you ask for them.
- Perpetual Solution (Montréal): maintains this website and may access the information only to keep the site working.
Content from other companies on this website
- Google Fonts and Google Maps (contact page): your browser contacts Google to show the fonts, which gives Google your IP address. The map loads only after you accept it in our cookie banner.
- Google reviews: we show our Google reviews from a copy saved on our server; your visit is not sent to Google for this.
- Instagram feed by LightWidget (home page): loads only after you accept it in our cookie banner; your browser then contacts LightWidget and Instagram to show our latest posts.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
- Messages from the contact form: 2 years.
- Course sign-ups: 2 years after the course.
- Appointments and client records: 3 years after your last appointment, then deleted or anonymised.
- Staff login records: 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to withdraw your consent (for example to text reminders). You can also ask how a decision about you was made, and to receive your information in a structured, commonly used format. Write to info@nightingalebeaute.ca; we answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Security incidents
If an incident involving your personal information could cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Commission d’accès à l’information as quickly as possible, and we keep a register of all incidents.

We will update this page when our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
